That's still possible... but it could be that the badger is really locked in one of these rooms somewhere. He keeps talking about getting "injections" from the "pink badger" that's the only thing that lets him "sleep". Is that more hallucination of him being alive, or is he some kind of burn victim with psychic-powers that's getting drugged by a nurse?
